On off switch is protected from dirt and grease under the domed end cap. The polycarbonate outer tube is virtually unbreakable. Water/dust tight clamps prevent dirt and moisture from entering the light fixture. An impact ring inside the the outer tube prevents the lamp from flexing and breaking. A full length reflector directs light down to the work surface.
