The eTrex system which was used by cyclists was a smaller unit that they could attach to their handle bars and take off on an exploration tour. Similarly, nuvi660 came into being couple of years later and this was a modern version of the GPS system, it had a built in FM player and a Bluetooth facility so a person can sync it with their laptop to gather information while on the move.

The nuvi device with its Bluetooth facility makes it easy for the driver to make calls using the touch screen and hands free speaker system. The company is said to have plans to launch this in other parts of the world and to introduce more languages to be displayed depending on the preference of the driver. One other amazing feature of the Garmin auto GPS is that it has a built in entertainment center, language translator for people who don’t understand English and provides travel information.

This company also has an exclusive line of equipment for the aviation industry, which could be panel mounted with single or multiple display screens. The Garmin auto GPS product line keeps coming up with newer devices every year to try and make traveling and navigation simpler and easier. Some have voice simulated facilities, and through this people can get voice based orders guiding them through the way till they reach their destination. It also has preset road maps of the USA, Canada and few countries in Europe as well. Apart from this, it also has a list of hotels, restaurants, and service stations in and around the same areas. All this makes road trip far more enjoyable experience. If the owners wish, they can customize the same to give them information pertaining to good schools in the locality and about traffic rules in that town to ensure they can simply follow the map and drive along.
