When it is important to get back to the bare metal, and strip any old paint or debris from the surface of metal ready for repainting or use, a sandblaster is the best option for the job.  A high pressure stream of air is blown through the machine and carries with it a quantity of abrasive particles.  These small particles hit the coating on the metal such as paint, and literally tear it from the surface.  Thanks to the fineness of the particles, and the fact that the flow can be controlled, they will leave you with a high quality finish with little or no damage to the underlying metal, and are far easier, quicker and cleaner than using a traditional sanding block to get the job done.

Cyclone Manufacturing is a company that has used their specialist status to create different cyclone sandblasters for every conceivable niche in the marketplace, and thanks to the amount of research and development that they undertake, they are constantly developing new products that make them even more important to the daily business of a huge variety of different companies.

From light weight pencil sized cyclone sandblasters that are used for delicate jobs through to much more powerful industrial models, and a wide range of different cabinet sandblasters, Cyclone have covered every single niche in the abrasives industry, and offer a product to suit your needs whatever they are.

Perhaps the popular model in the Cyclone sandblaster range is the compact yet powerful BB100 Bottle Blaster.  This hand held pencil style model is able to deliver up to 90psi of compressed air infused with abrasive particles that are able to strip old paint, dirt, rust, and any other coating from an item without doing any damage to the underlying material.  These lightweight hand held models are easy to use thanks to a foot switch control that leaves both hands free to direct the powerful abrasive stream into the areas where it is most needed.

There is a selection of different cyclone sandblasters that are mounted inside their own cabinet units for extra safety.  Like the BB100, they are designed for delicate jobs, but the protection offered by the sealed cabinet means that they are suitable for much finer work, and remove the need for the operator to wear a mask when using the tool.

When the precision of a pencil style cyclone sandblaster is not required, and what is needed is more power, then there are a number of options open to you.  Cyclone make a selection of even more powerful units that operate at high pressure, and are able to produce a much larger stream of sand that will really clear any tough coating such as paint back to bare metal in a short time.

Larger jobs that do not require a cabinet can be handled by the large portable blast pot style cyclone sandblasters.  These larger units simply plug into a supply of compressed air, and then the operator has the freedom to move around a larger item using the hose to fire sand at the surface at pressures of up to 100psi, making short work of whatever material needs to be removed.

Sandblasting can be dirty work, and unless the item that you are working on can be treated inside a cabinet, then you will generally need to include a dust collection system in your Cyclone sandblaster purchase along with essential accessories such as dust masks, gloves, and protective goggles to keep your eyes safe while you are working.
