Spotlights are one of the most useful and flexible tools that anyone can own, and whether you need one for use in the workshop, or for making it easy to get about in the dark, you will soon find that you will come to rely on it at regular intervals.  One of the biggest names in the industry is Vector spotlights, and this company, which was recently taken over by Black and Decker, has been renowned for their high quality and reliable products for many years.

Offering considerably more power than a standard flashlight, spotlights are designed to provide a very bright source of illumination that will ensure that normal activities can be carried out in almost complete darkness.  Some Vector spotlights are able to provide the equivalent light of up to twenty million candles.  Spotlights can be mounted on a vehicle, or hand held to allow for excellent light coverage and there are both plug in and battery powered versions.

One of the most appealing aspects of Vector spotlights is their high power rechargeable battery packs which can be charged from a power source such as the standard plug socket in a vehicle.  This makes them ideal for carrying with you on a camping or hunting trip into the woods.  With a good quality spotlight, you will be able to find your way through any terrain at night, or even attract the attention of other people nearby should you need help.

There are a number of different Vector spotlights in the range, and they all serve different purposes thanks to their slightly different levels of power and their configuration.

The entry level Vector Spotlight, the VEC134Y is a high powered and reliable spotlight.  Once plugged into a suitable 12 volt power source, it will provide 1 million candles of light thanks to its high power halogen bulb.  The high impact polycarbonate casing is bright yellow, and features an ergonomic grip to make it easy to use, as well as a convenient hook to allow for hands free use.

For a little more money above the cost of the corded model, Vector spotlights offer a rechargeable model, the VEC127Y, which is built to the same high standard, and also features the same impressive 1 million candles of power.  A full charge will provide enough power for the spotlight to work effectively for around 30 minutes on full power, while a work light in the handle that provides enough illumination for some small tasks will last for up to 25 hours.
