The Devilbiss Company began by producing medical supplies in the year 1880, and ever since then, has fought to create the most powerful and efficient tools possible.  By constantly refining their products and seeking out new ways to get the most out of their existing technology, Devilbiss has been able to create high quality and well made tools including the famous Devilbiss paint guns.  These devices which are at the core of the Devilbiss company, build upon more than a century of development to offer the best possible solution to the age old problem of getting the perfect finish when painting.

The first products made by the company were medical atomizers, which were intended to produce a fine mist of chemicals for medical use.  Over time, the company found new uses for the technology and manufacturing techniques that underpinned the production of the atomizers, and it was the son of the founder of Devilbiss, Thomas, who recognized the potential of the invention with regard to applying other substances, such as paint.
