I need to hook up my refrigeration manifold gauges to the low side port.

I'm trying to find the low side Air Conditioner port on a 2002 Pontiac Montana so I can hook up some refrigeration manifold gauges. So far I can only see one fitting which seems likely to be an Air Conditioner port and it is a few inches from the reservoir for the refrigerant. Given its position I'm thinking it is not the low side port... can anyone tell me exactly where to find the low
side port?

Although I do not know he exact location of the low side service port on that model I can tell you that it will be in the refrigerant line between the compressor and the evaporator. Seems like it would be easy enough to just start at the compressor and follow the line back towards the firewall
until you find it. The low side line is larger diameter than the high side so you can't get them confused. The service ports are also different sizes so the blue low pressure hose with your refrigeration manifold gauges will only fit on the low side fitting.

Automotive Scan Tool or Engine Analyzer?

I'm a newbie just needed some information about an automotive scan tool or engine analyzer and what it does. Could someone please tell me if one needs any special knowledge to
operate it and make alterations to the engine?

Thanks for your help

Depends on exactly what you are talking about. There are some very competent
engine analyzers that will perform many monitoring and diagnostic functions,
and they can be very expensive. A trained technician needs to be able to
interpret the data and repair any defective systems. A automotive scan tool or scanner can be much less expensive. Many of them can perform functions other than just to read the onboard diagnostics codes. They may suggest the systems that are implicated in setting the error codes, but they don't do all the work for you. Sometimes the code and its source still requires a good
knowledge of mechanics before you near a fix.

I am looking for parts for my Astro Pneumatic Mig Welder.

I own an Astro Pneumatic 130 amp 110 volt Mig Welder that I purchased used a few years ago. When I bought this Mig Welder, I didn't get any information for it. No parts manual or instruction book came with the welding unit. Right now I need the plastic stud and knob that allows you to adjust the two wire feed rollers. It is very frustrating to have my mig welder down over a few nickel and dime parts.

Thanks for your email.

We carry a parts kit for the Astro Pneumatic mig welder you own. Just click here for the mig welder parts you are looking for. We also can find other parts that you are looking for as well. Just send us a quick email and we wiil see what we can find. Good luck with the mig welder and your welding projects.

I need a battery tester for a medical cart

I am looking for a battery tester for a sealed lead battery. It is a genesis EP 12v 26EP. We use these batteries in our medical carts and I need a good tester because we seem to be going through a large amount of these batteries.

Thanks for the email.

Midtronics is the manufacturer for most of the automotive battery testers we carry. They advised using one of their industrial models for the application you are describing. Basically with this model, you would calibrate the unit with a new and unused battery (I am assuming you have a supply of new ones) and this will give the battery tester a point to measure from. Midtronics has an excellent website and a toll free number if you need more help. Here is the link below for the model they suggested. Let me know if this helps.
