One of the best ways of boosting the income of your auto shop is to offer an at home service to clients.  Whether you provide a recovery or repair service to customers, ensuring that your truck is properly equipped for any task that might be required is important if you are to be able to satisfy your customers properly.  Because working away from the shop means that there is likely to be no access to proper power, having a truck mounted air compressor means that you will be able to power a wide range of different tools and be able to carry out full service work on site rather than needing to take vehicles back to the workshop in order to do a repair job.

A truck mounted air compressor enables you to take the entire workshop out on the road with you.  Thanks to the versatility that it offers in terms of the range of different functions that it offers, and the range of different tools that it can power, this type of compressor is absolutely ideal for providing power on the go.

In order to be able to provide the best possible range of functions, high levels of power are necessary, and in order to offer this, truck mounted air compressors are built to use gas power rather than electricity.  The power to weight ratio offered by these compressors means that they are able to generate the levels of air pressure required to run a wide range of different air tools.

In order to allow users to carry out a comprehensive range of mechanical jobs, a field service truck will typically have a truck mounted air compressor in the bed.  This will be switched on as soon as the operator needs to start work, and can be used to power the full range of tools needed to carry out their jobs.  The level of power needed from a truck mounted air compressor needs to be sufficient to power a pneumatic jack to lift the vehicle that they are working on, as well as to be able to provide the on demand supply of compressed air required for all of the other tasks that you will need to carry out, such as the use of impact wrenches, ratchet wrenches, and even reciprocating saws that are powerful enough to cut through metal.

Being called out to do a job in a remote location away from the workshop means that preparation is everything, and you will need to carry a range of different tools in order to be sure that no matter what the job is, you will be prepared to carry it out.  Thanks to the power levels available within tools such as the Ingersoll Rand Type 30 truck mounted air compressor, you will be able to use a range of tools up to a 1 inch impact wrench.

The type 30 Ingersoll Rand truck mounted air compressor has a 2 stage compressor and has a horizontal tank that makes it stable when you are driving the truck around.  It comes complete with the full mounting kit that you need to properly fit the compressor into the bed of the truck so that it is safe in use.

With a two stage truck mounted air compressor, you can get up to 175 psi of air pressure, which is enough to allow for the use of a range of tools, but unlike a workshop compressor the truck mounted version has a 40 gallon tank, which makes it far more portable.

As with all Ingersoll Rand products, the Type 30 truck mounted air compressor features a high quality construction and is built to last.  Designed to function effectively 100% of the time if required, the compressor is weather proof to allow for it to be used under almost any environmental conditions, and the unit features an extended life pump that will continue to operate for longer than traditional designs.
