Portable IR thermometers have become indispensable tools for automotive troubleshooting and diagnostics. Accuracy is +/-1 degree C (2 degrees F) from 10 degrees C to 30 degrees C (50 degrees F to 86 degrees F), +/- 1.5% of reading or +/- 1.5 degrees C (3 degrees F) whichever is greater over the balance of the range. Emissivity: preset at 0.95. Response time: <500msec. Distance to spot ratio: 10:1 calculated at 80 % energy. Runs on a 9V Alkaline battery (included).
