The Ingersoll Rand line of Hercu- Link Electric Chain hoists is one of the most versatile and powerful systems on the market, offering a great combination of quality construction, usability, reliability, and of course, the ability to manipulate and move heavy loads with ease.  These impressive units are able to provide the power that users need along with a number of refinements that make them a great choice for a heavy lifting environment where it is important to be able to gain full control.
Handling materials in an industrial environment requires great care to be taken in order to protect the equipment that is being used, the staff who are working close by, and also whatever materials are being moved.  A hoist system needs to be robust enough to lift the heaviest weights with ease, and also needs to offer complete reliability in order to give the user the confidence to be able to take on any task they need to.  Ingersoll Rand have taken this into account with the Hercu-Link Electric Chain Hoists, and looked at the various different areas that are included to make sure that each aspect of the unit provides the best possible levels of efficiency and performance whenever it is needed.
One of the main advantages offered by the Hercu-Link Electric Chain Hoist over competing models from other manufacturers is the fact that the system is so lightweight and small in comparison and all of the components of the hoist have been combined into a single slim line trolley.  The power to weight ratio offered by the units is exceptional, and users will love the four button operation from the pendent, which is simplicity itself.
Ingersoll Rand have always been well known for the way in which they have followed a constant program of improvements to their design, and the Hercu Link Electric Chain Hoists are in many ways the culmination of around 75 years of experience.  Every aspect of the operation of a host has been considered and its impact on the overall performance has been taken into account.  This process has allowed for refinements across all components that all have a small but cumulative effect on the overall performance.
Additions such as the use of IEEE45 Marine Grade Motors combined with a corrosion resistant zinc plated chain mean that the hoists are ideally suited for use in almost any environment, and are able to maintain the highest possible levels of performance no matter what the conditions.  Couple this with a NEMA 4 weather resistant casing that is still around one third the size of a regular wire rope hoist, and you have a fantastically flexible and compact piece of equipment that will offer you the kind of service that industry demands.  For added weather proofing for outdoor use, the hoists are coated in a carbozinc primer and Marine 812 finish that can withstand the worst that the elements can throw at it.
One of the key features of the Hercu Link electric chain hoists is the flexibility that the basic design offers, and the way in which the core aspects of the system are able to be adjusted in order to meet the very different requirements of different industries or environments easily.  From 11,000lb  on a 16mm chain with a lifting speed of 17 ft per minute through to 110,000lb on a 22mm chain that can be lifted at a speed of3.7 feet per minute, the Hercu Link Range is powerful and has enough torque for tougher applications.
The units can either be fixed in place or mounted on a trolley, and these systems come with a number of additional extras to ensure smoother operation including special lugs that sweep the rail ahead of the runners, and bearings that use an oil bath to stay lubricated when they are being used.  The moveable systems also feature bumpers to protect them in movement, and lifting lugs to help when they are being mounted on a rail system and to provide additional flexibility in operation.
